The beautiful Playa de Huanchaco
The Huanchaco is located in the district of the same name. It is the most important and beautiful resort city of Trujillo, capital of the region La Libertad.
The name comes from Guaukocha Huanchaco (beautiful pond with goldfish.) Today is a traditional and picturesque resort, obligatory stop for tourists who visit the city of Trujillo.
In the upper part of the resort stands a beautiful colonial church, Our Lady of Mercy, this church is considered the second oldest of Peru.
