The district is the only Pozuzo Austro-German colony in the world and is located in the heart of the Central Selva of Peru. It is located in the province of Oxapampa, Department of Pasco.

Founded by Austrian-German colonists who settled on the land granted by the Peruvian government in 1857. Immigrants built the city following the architectural patterns of their original countries, so that the houses are made of geometric plants, wood floors and gabled roofs.

Palmatambo House-Built in 1950, is a beautiful Tyrolean style house has 4 floors with large balconies, a huge fireplace and tiled roof is made of walnut. Currently the house is being restored and is one of the few traditional houses that exist in Pozuzo.
To get there, cross the suspension bridge Emperor William I, built in 1887 and follow the route of the River Palmira. In a walk of about 45 minutes or if you prefer to be reached by car.

How to get there?
